George Roberts – Charleston Artist + Designer.
After 20+ years in the corporate sector and 14 years in the nonprofit world, finally pursuing my love of art is being met with great approval from my family and friends. My mother always wanted me to pursue my art but I decided to go to business school (twice). Fast forward 15 years, my for profit employer imploded during the dot.com experience, and I became director of a nonprofit teaching art center in Atlanta where I received art instruction as part of my compensation (Mom was very happy!). Mixed media-pencil, pen & ink, and watercolor are my specialties while I tend to gravitate toward realism and detailed subjects. Since relocating to coastal Daniel Island 15+ years ago, I am continually inspired by the beauty of the Lowcountry, Charleston’s history, and the entire southeastern coast. I truly enjoy painting everything coastal and recently launched my Eden Shell brand featuring my coastal themed artwork on fabric. I hope you enjoy watching my work in progress.
